Who can submit to Musings?

Any undergraduate or graduate student may submit work to Musings regardless of UCSD affiliation!

Musings accepts blog-style contributions related to antiquity. Accepted topics include but are not limited to the history, art, philosophy, architecture, culture, religion, languages and/or literature of the Ancient Mediterranean. 

Accepted formats include:

  • Fiction writing

  • Critical reviews

  • Essays

  • Poetry

  • Opinion pieces

  • Original translations

  • Visual art

Creative formats not listed are subject to approval by the editorial board. We typically do not publish submissions which are over 3000 words. Please cite all sources using Chicago style. Direct all questions to the Pandora Forum email at musingsucsd@gmail.com.

All submissions and contributions will be reviewed for accuracy, appropriateness, and relevance. Inappropriate material constitutes any and all submissions that violate the UCSD Standards of Conduct.
